Viuly’s VIU Token Listed on Cryptocurrency Exchange OKEx

Chinese cryptocurrency exchange OKex has listed VIU, native token of the blockchain-based video sharing platform Viuly.

Viuly is continuing to see widespread adoption of its token, VIU, with cryptocurrency exchange OKex making the decision to list it this month – allowing traders to buy and sell the token on its platform. OKex is just the third exchange to start trading VIU since Viuly connected to Ethereum mainnet, when the project first went live and began trading on Bit-Z and EtherDelta.

VIU is currently available to purchase on these three through Bitcoin and Ethereum pairings. Its trading volume has steadily risen over time with $1,600,000 worth of VIU having traded hands over these crypto exchanges in the last 24 hours.

Top Rated Tokens

In addition to this news, VIU has also been the top-ranked ERC-20 standard token by transaction count, according to Ethplorer (a tool that tracks ERC-20 standard tokens). This is especially impressive given that the names of some of the tokens it deals with include some of the top listed currencies right now.

With the video platform now live, many of its features are now accessible to a slew of different kinds of users looking to benefit from the platform in different ways.

For instance, advertisers can now deposit VIU to pay for ads, while others can withdraw the tokens they receive for watching them – directly sent to each watcher’s Ethereum wallet. And since the platform has been live and connected to the Ethereum mainnet for some time now, the market has already begun to prove the platform’s use value with over 250k users registered and interacting with it.

Revolutionizing the Way We Share Digital Content

Viuly aims to revolutionize the content sharing space with its blockchain-based solution, incentivizing people to create and watch content by rewarding them with their exchangeable VIU token. The goal has been to facilitate one-to-one online content sharing that directly connects consumers with creators, bypassing any and all middlemen.

In Addition to this, through the blockchain’s well-known decentralized and transparent nature it hopes to help the industry operate in a more equitable way. It puts the power back in the hands of the content makers, who will presumably succeed solely based on the quality of the content they produce.

VIU Tokens to Make a Mark

VIU tokens are the native currency powering the Viuly video platform. They are used to transfer value between advertisers, content creators and users. Viuly will be a full-fledged platform for users and content creators to share and watch videos, while immediately earning rewards for their interactions.

Whether the platform will be able to “revolutionize” the industry like the team behind the project wants is still an open question, esp. taking into consideration that it has some stiff competition in the blockchain-driven content sharing space – projects such as DECENT.

DECENT is also attempting to provide a decentralized means of distributing digital content in a peer-to-peer fashion. However, it also has the advantage of first-mover and a market cap that boasts larger magnitude than Viuly’s one.
