Ubex Project: a Stepping Stone to Efficient Advertising

Ubex project, a global decentralized exchange of programmatic advertising based on neural networks and smart contracts, aims to create a global advertising ecosystem with a high level of mutual trust and maximum efficiency.

The digital advertising market has been actively growing; in 2017, its size has managed to exceed that of the television segment. However, having positive dynamics, the digital advertising market has many problems, including low targeting efficiency, non-transparent counterparty relationships and a high level of fraud. As a result, all sides of the relationship suffer – advertisers overpay for each client involved, publishers receive lesser rewards and consumers of advertising are dissatisfied with its quality. To solve these problems, Ubex has been designed.

Aiming at creating a global advertising ecosystem with a high level of mutual trust and maximum efficiency, Ubex provides a transition from the traditional pay-per-click scheme to the payment for targeted actions, which is the most fair and interesting model for all market participants.

Using the Ubex system, advertisers can automatically purchase ad slots. Payment is made upon fulfillment of targeted actions by users. Procurement of advertising takes place in real time using programmatic technology on the basis of neural networks with the application of smart contracts.

The functionality of the advertiser’s web application prototype is simplified. The main task set before the developers is to create a simple and intuitive interface without a large number of settings, which is designed in such a way that different kinds of users, from professionals to newcomers of the market, could use it. The application of artificial intelligence makes this possible.

Among sections and functions of Ubex are using the Metamask and traditional credentionals for authorization, compilation of reports on advertising campaigns, advertiser identification mechanism, form filling, and document uploading. According to Ubex, Ethereum wallet, as well as Trezor and Ledger, are coming soon.

To create an advertising campaign, four steps are needed. Firstly, you select the purpose of the advertising campaign. Secondly, you enter the basic settings of the campaign (audience, geolocation, age restrictions, languages, targeting by category, interests). Then comes creation of promotional materials (text, feed, article, widget designer), and, finally, you decide on the advertising budget and launch the campaign.

Ubex billing system allows viewing the history of remainders and balances. Previewing pages with future functions (decentralized apps) and services for publishers is also available. The prototypes of smart contracts are ready (codes are available on the Github).

Ubex AI construct plays a key role in shaping the dynamics of interaction between advertisers and publishers registered on the platform, and to host, develop, train and enhance it, Ubex and the Singularity project have cooperated. A memorandum of understanding has been signed which foresees utilizing Singularity’s platform and infrastructure to construct and host Ubex AI services created using the platform.
