The price of Trump-focused meme coins shot up significantly over the last 24 hours. Some of the most popular of these coins printed huge gains for holders, capitalizing on the support that the 2024 presidential candidate has.
Meme coins based on the former president of the United States Donald Trump have witnessed significant gains in the past 24 hours and rallied by double digital as the billionaire is set to sit in a virtual interview with a probation officer from his home in Florida on Monday.
As per a report from the BBC, Trump’s appearance before the probation officer is part of his sentencing in the New York hush-money case, which made the entrepreneur the first US president and the first Republican candidate to be indicted in the country.
In the virtual meeting, Trump will be seated alongside his lawyer, Todd Blanche, and will be appearing from Mar-a-Lago, a resort and National Historic Landmark in Palm Beach, Florida. Additionally, the probation officer will be responsible for drafting a pre-sentencing report for Justice Juan Merchan, who is set to decide the future of the billionaire.
Martin Horn, former commissioner of the New York City Department of Corrections and Probation, told NBC News that “it is highly unusual for a pre-sentence investigation interview to be done over Zoom”.
