Pawtocol, the world’s most advanced pet community, has released the first Blockchain Based Pet App in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The app will allow users to register their pets, which is the first step in creating a permanent ID for them on the blockchain.
Users will be able to pair the app via QR Code or using NFC Technology with their eco-friendly plant based Blockchain Pet Tag. This pet tag updates information in real-time, carries all the pet’s information from their medical records, diet, fitness, to loss return information.
For pet rescues who create an NFT of their pet, this gives them the ability to create a virtual adoption. As a virtual pet parent, users can sponsor their pets to help them find a home, and even teach them new skills, with additional features to be included upon launch.
For pet owners, this allows them to create NFTs and place them in Pawtocol’s NFT marketplace, also a first of its kind. When sold, a portion will be sent to an animal welfare organization, which will let them help even more animals. Virtual transactions will help real life animals.
CEO Karim Quazzani says:
“Our app and Blockchain Pet Tag is the beginning of gamifying the pet industry. This also launches an era where data privacy matters and we deliver that with our Blockchain technology.”’
Upcoming features include Pawtool launching a reward system with points that can be redeemed for products from ESG companies as well as with their in-app currency, Universal Pet Income (UPI), when a user chooses to share a pet’s data — perhaps with a vet or a supplier.
