Revolut which is a leading fintech company is all set to present a new feature that will serve the travel industry. The company will be introducing a new feature called “Stays” which will allow the users to book hotels and other accommodations, all through their in-house app specifications.

Revolut venturing into the travel industry has been regarded as a striking move where the company intends to multitask and deliver optimum services to all available niches and domains through its “super app” configurations.

Revolut to Venture into Travel Industry

Revolut being the major fintech company with a valuation of $33 billion, will now be stepping into the travel industry. The company is all set to launch a new booking feature called “stays” which will allow the users to book lodging facilities and hotels straight from their app services.

Revolut’s endeavor to provide accommodation facilities through its app has been regarded as a competitive move to fellow contemporaries such as Expedia and Trip Advisors. To entice the customers into using their app services more often, Revolut will be offering a 10% discount on bookings which will be processed through their app. This will mark the company’s first independent undertaking outside the realm of finance and investments.

Marsel Nikaj, the head of saving and lifestyle at Revolut has stated that the company is now looking to expand its scale of operations apart from financing into something novel and unique, Revolut’s travel move seems to be inspired by the current covid restrictions that had majorly affected the global travel business. As the lockdown is now in the process of being lifted at major locations of the world, the company intends to provide holistic services to book the best ideal hotels and lodging avenues for the customers to assist with their tours and travels.

Revolut will be introducing”Stays'” in the UK first and will later shift to the European and American markets.
