American rapper Marshall Mathers III, popularly known as Eminem, is joining the NFTs train by launching his NFTs on the 25th of April. Eminem has partnered with Gemini-owned NFT platform Nifty Gateway to release his first NFTs. Nifty Gateway announced Eminem’s debut into the NFT space in a tweet posted on the 20th of April.

The NFT market is expanding as each day goes by with several individuals, including athletes, venturing into the sector. Already, a lot of celebrities have shown interest in NFTs and have also unveiled their NFTs projects. Some musical acts that have joined the NFTs trend include A$AP Rocky Boy George, Aphex Twin, Snoop Dogg, Kings of Leon, and The White Stripes.

Now, Eminem, who has sold about 130 million records all over the world and 389 million singles, has unveiled his NFT collection called “Shady Con.” The rapper also released two music albums within a year. The rapper’s team announced the debut of his first NFTs on the 22nd of April. In the announcement, the team said that Shady Con will feature “a variety of Eminem-approved NFT collectibles” and were scheduled to be released on the 25th of April, between 6:30 pm and 7 pm ET.

Additionally, the NFTs collection consists of Eminem’s original beats explicitly produced for the launch. The announcement stated that there are three types of NFTs up for sale. The first two NFTs have 50 editions each. They are titled “TOOLS OF THE TRADE” and “STILL D.G.A.F,” and they cost $5,000. The eventual buyers of the NFTs will receive physical prints, autographed by Eminem.

Speaking on his NFTs launch, Eminem said it has been “a lot of fun” coming up with ideas for the NFTs collection.

“I’ve been collecting since I was a kid, everything from comic books to baseball cards to toys, as well as every rap album on cassette I could get my hands on. Not much has changed for me as an adult…I’ve attempted to re-create some of those collections from that time in my life, and I know I’m not alone. I wanted to give this drop the same vibe of ‘Oh, man I gotta get just that one or maybe even the whole set!’ It’s been a lot of fun coming up with ideas from my own collecting passion.”

Ahead of the launch, Eminem released a guide titled “A GUIDE TO BUYING NFTS DURING EMINEM’S NIFTY GATEWAY SHADY CON DROP.”

Ashley Ramos, the senior producer at Nifty Gateway, expressed her excitement while welcoming Eminem on the platform. She said the platform is delighted to house the NFTs collection amid the growing demand for NFTs globally.
