The partnership also includes an integration of Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) with the OKX DEX aggregator to enable USDC cross-chain swaps across Ethereum, Avalanche, Arbitrum and the OP Mainnet ecosystems

Global crypto exchange OKX and stablecoin issuer Circle have partnered to bring USDC  features to the OKX Wallet and OKX DEX aggregator. This is according to a September joint announcement by the companies.

OKX Wallet’s Smart Account users will be able to make USDC transfers without network fees as part of the ‘USDC Zero Network Fee Campaign‘ running from September 7 to October 5, 2023. For the duration of the campaign, users will be able to make five feeless transactions per day, per device. According to the exchange, feeless transactions can be made across 7 networks, including Ethereum, OKTC, BNB Chain, Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum One, and Avalanche C with a maximum waiver of 5 USDC on each transaction.

OKX Chief Innovation Officer Jason Lau said:

“OKX is committed to improving usability and accessibility for users in the Web3 space, and now users have an even better experience as they interact and transact using USDC. In addition, users can conduct gas-free transactions without network fees using OKX Wallet’s recently launched Smart Account and seamlessly exchange USDC across various networks via the built-in swap feature.”

The partnership also includes an integration of Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) with the OKX DEX aggregator to enable USDC cross-chain swaps across Ethereum, Avalanche, Arbitrum and the OP Mainnet ecosystems. USDC cross-chain functionality on the OKX DEX aggregator is expected to increase as new CCTP routes become available.

Circle Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Global Policy Dante Disparte comments:

“Circle is delighted to improve access to DeFi with CCTP and innovative gas abstraction features built on USDC in order to streamline user experiences, pioneer transformative change in finance and drive greater adoption of blockchain-powered technology.”
