MetaMask has collaborated with some local payment providers spread across Africa, Asia, and South America.

In line with its ambitions to establish its presence around the world, crypto wallet MetaMask has announced a series of new partnerships. The announcement hints at a focus on emerging markets as MetaMask joins hands with local payment providers spread across Africa, Asia, and South America. According to the firm, it has struck a strategic partnership with six different countries including Egypt, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, and Chile.

MetaMask also issued a breakdown of what it intends to do in each country. The popular software cryptocurrency wallet says it will collaborate with VietQR and Mobile Money in Vietnam. It will work with Vodafone Cash in Egypt, GCash in the Philippines, QRIS in Indonesia, Thai QR in Thailand, and then with Webpay in Chile. According to the firm, these collaborations will bring inclusion to users with localized options. That is, users resident in these regions now have local crypto payment and transfer options available to them within the MetaMask wallet.

The latest announcement further highlights the aggressive efforts of MetaMask to expand its global reach. It had previously forayed into, Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea, among many other places. It also offered additional support for local transfers by entering key partnerships with Unlimit and TransFi.

Also in line with its expansion efforts, MetaMask recently introduced a Buy aggregator feature and has made the same available on all its platforms. That is, users may access the feature on the mobile app, the browser extension, and even directly within the MetaMask Portfolio.

MetaMask Keen on Growth

Truly, most of its recent antics are towards growth and expansion. However, MetaMask also believes that sustaining growth is as important as the growth itself. To this end, the firm quickly swung into action, updating its mobile app to version 7.10.0. That was after a recent bug incident with a previous version.

In a statement, MetaMask confirmed that the bug only affected a random few mobile users, adding that the bug has now been fixed.
