Beyond 7 Aurelius, LimeWire has also scheduled the unveiling of NFTs belonging to Gramatik and Elijah Blake for July 10 and 12, respectively.

LimeWire has announced its partnership with 7 Aurelius to drop seven unique NFTs on July 7. According to the announcement, the collection, featuring the Grammy award-winning producer, will include original AI images, short clips, and songs.

LimeWire first announced its rebranding and interest in the digital collectibles space in March 2022. The platform is looking to trade limited editions, backstage content, unreleased demos, graphical artwork, and others.

Established in the 2000s, it was just a peer-to-peer music-sharing platform previously. Afterward, LimeWire completed its token sale with $10.4 million in a round led by Kraken Ventures. Since then, LimeWire has been taking steps.

After selecting Algorand as its blockchain partner, LimeWire also agreed to a deal with Universal Music Group for content licensing. Now, it has announced the imminent launch of several NFTs, beginning with 7 Aurelius.

Co-CEOs of LimeWire, Paul and Julian Zehetmayr, noted the firm was meeting the demand for a platform that recognized and appreciated talented artists. They stated the opportunity will help artists ‘engage with their fans, gain more exposure uniquely and retain more of their earnings.’

The firm hopes to lower the entry barrier for artists and fans by ensuring a simple user experience and removing all technical hurdles.

Other NFTs to be Launched on LimeWire

Beyond 7 Aurelius, LimeWire has also scheduled the unveiling of NFTs belonging to Gramatik and Elijah Blake for July 10 and 12, respectively. According to an unnamed company spokesperson, LimeWire has partnered with over 100 artists. Notable among the artists are Travis Barker, Aitch, Brandy, Dillon Francis, and Nicky Jam.

Travis Barker’s NFTs will include behind-the-scenes footage of the legendary drummer, showcasing his creative process. Barker shared his excitement about the pending release of his first NFT.

“I hope my NFT collection will inspire aspiring artists and fans who want to learn about my creative journey and how I make music,” Barker noted. Barker will also release a 3D animated model of his drum set.

On her part, Brandy is partnering with NFT creator Jeremy Falls and the Probably Nothing project to launch her collectibles. The collection will include a “collaborative” bouquet. It will also feature a spoken word performance by Brandy about mental health.
