LEGO and Disney Veteran Pierre Dadd Joins Terra Virtua as Marketing Director

Pierre brings over 20 years of experience in marketing and brand development, working with iconic kids entertainment brands as well as a number of online marketplaces.

At LEGO, his seven-year tenure saw him in a number of global, regional, and local roles, launching some of the most exciting properties and working with global IPs. During his time there, Pierre also started working on the foundations of the first LEGO virtual world.

Then moving his talents to Disney, he oversaw the digital marketing efforts in the UK and Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions. Pierre was instrumental in developing Disney’s online game presence in the UK, managing the launch and subsequent marketing of what would become the UK’s number one kids’ online gaming brand, Club Penguin.

He then shifted efforts to online marketplaces, reinventing Auto Trader’s brand identity to make it one of the most recognizable online platforms for buying and selling cars in the UK. In 2018, he founded DBMC Brand Consultants to leverage his experience to help a wide number of companies in unlocking their brand’s potential.

At Terra Virtua, Pierre will put his extensive experience in developing mass-market brands to bring Terra Virtua and NFTs to the mainstream.

Dadd said:

“I’m really thrilled to join the team at Terra Virtua. While the challenge is immense, it comes with equal amounts of excitement. The team has built a strong platform with a unique proposition that really sets the business apart in the market. My role is now to capitalise on this and together, we will build Terra Virtua into a world-class brand that has broad, mass market appeal. I can’t wait to get started.”

Gary Bracey, CEO of Terra Virtua, said:

“I knew after seeing Pierre’s resume that we needed to hire him as Marketing Director for Terra Virtua. His wealth of experience brings the perfect balance of domain knowledge, creativity, and scrappiness required to take NFTs to the mainstream. We know maintaining NFTs into popular perception is going to be a tough challenge, and Pierre’s wealth of experience at Disney and LEGO will be instrumental to guide us in that direction.”
