The Workshop Café, located in San Francisco’s financial district, will be the city’s first location for a BitAccess Bitcoin Teller Machine (BTM).

With a market capitalization of over $6 billion, bitcoin has become the world’s most popular digital currency.

However, it is still challenging for the average user to convert cash into bitcoin – or bitcoin into cash. With the BitAccess BTM, users with a mobile phone are able to buy or sell bitcoin in under a minute.

The Workshop Café is a coworking space, meeting center and coffee shop. The BTM will be permanently installed at the front of the café, near the entrance.

This launch is an early step in a partnership between BitAccess, which builds BTM hardware and software, and US operator Zenbox. Over the next few months, Zenbox will launch BitAccess machines all across the United States.
