Enterprise Ethereum Alliance Adds 48 New Members, Including HP Enterprise

48 newly-admitted companies will assist on the development of enterprise grade ethereum-based solutions

The Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA) annunciated that forty-eight new members, along with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, joined its blockchain group. With the recently accepted affiliates, the company has reached a total of 200 members. This makes it the world’s biggest open-source blockchain project.

The EEA is a non-commercial, industry-supported community that is focused on the development of Ethereum Blockchain. The alliance  broadly supports Ethereum-based technology best practices, open standards, and open-source reference architectures.

The members of EEA belongs to a wide range of business sectors such as banking, technology, government, pharmaceuticals, marketing, insurance, automotive, healthcare, and even some of the fastest-growing Ethereum start-ups.

“Joining the EEA is a significant step for Hewlett Packard Enterprise in making blockchain enterprise-ready and accelerating our customers’ journey to production,” said Markus Ogurek, HPE’s Global Financial Services Industry Lead. “Our commitment to the EEA will help enterprise-grade blockchain technology adoption and will enable clients to innovate in most demanding applications.”

Ltd., Cambridge Blockchain, Centra Tech, Inc., CMT Digital Limited, CoinCircle, Crypto Valley Association, CSA Consulting and Solutions Ltd, Dash Core Group, Inc., DLT Labs, Donnelley Financial Solutions,Eximchain, Finantech Vastgoed Investering CV, Finchain, Global Partnerships Forum, Infinity Blockchain Labs, InfoObjects Inc., Investrata Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship (IFSE),LIFElabs, Lunyr Inc., Maintio Ltd., Metaps Plus, MyBit Foundation, Nanchang Buluo Chain Tech. The EEA was formed in February 2017 by a group of Ether innovators, financial institutions and blockchain start-ups. The major founding members are Intel, JPMorgan Chase, British Petroleum (BP), Microsoft and a number of other companies and blockchain startups.

Since then, many companies has become members of the alliance. The company’s rapid growth means that cutting-edge developments and international expertise in blockchain technology are important tools in achieving goals on technology agenda.

The main purpose of the EEA is to turn Ethereum into an enterprise-grade technology, providing research and development in a range of issues such as confidentiality, privacy, scalability, and security. The company also focuses on hybrid architectures that relate to both permissioned and public Ethereum networks as well as industry-specific application layer working groups.

The alliance is expected to develop open industry standards and advance partnership  with its members.  Moreover, any members of the EEA, who want to participate in development progress, are highly encouraged by the alliance.
