With every Star Wars Day celebration, new IPs, games, and shows spring up. The new collection of collectibles is launched on the Flow blockchain.

NFT platform Cryptoys has announced the launch of the latest Star Wars NFT Collectibles. The release is in celebration of the unofficial Star Wars Day hosted annually on May 4th.

About the Star Wars NFT Collectibles

Partnering with Lucasfilm LTD, Cryptoys has been officially licensed to create collectibles with three characters Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Darth Vader. The Star Wars NFT collection will feature 15 limited-edition collectibles. Each character will appear in 5 chibi-inspired styles that will vary in rarity from the next.

These NFTs are powered by the Flow blockchain, which uses significantly less power and makes it easy to scale. Cryptoys promises collectors a unique unboxing experience when they purchase the new Star Wars NFT collection. This is because the package uses digital Holocrons. According to Cryptoys, “the unboxing experience feels remarkably tactile as collectors watch with anticipation to see the surprise waiting inside”.

The first set of Star Wars NFTs by Cryptoys will drop on May 24. Consequently, they will be available for purchase at $39.99. Also, these assets can be easily bought with ApplePay, GooglePay, or any other major debit card worldwide.

A Successful Franchise

Star Wars is considered one of the most successful merchandise lines in history. Since 1977, the franchise has become a cultural phenomenon. Aside from its popularity in the form of comic books, movies, and TV shows, the franchise has led to the release of various clothing lines, games, and shows.

With every Star Wars Day celebration, new IPs, games, and shows spring up as fan communities celebrate the franchise. More recently, NFT assets patterned after Star Wars characters have been emerging. Last year, Veve launched a hugely successful Star Wars NFT collection. The collection included famous characters like C3PO, R2-D2, and Darth Vader.

Paul Southern, Senior Vice President, Global brand commercialization, at Disney Consumer Products, recently noted the continued growth of the franchise. He said:

“With the expansion of the galaxy through new original series on Disney+, the additional content has created endless opportunities to continue to create new products for a wide variety of fans.”

Thus, Cryptoys has become the latest brand to jump on a fan’s favorite, to create a new experience for users.
