The decision to integrate Google Pay is to reiterate Crypto.com’s mission of democratizing access to digital currencies as the move into the future of Web3.0 intensifies.

Crypto.com, one of the foremost digital currency trading platforms in the world has announced it has integrated the Google Pay in-app payment feature for cryptocurrency purchases. The new feature is billed to go live next week but is notably going to offer Crypto.com users the ability to buy their preferred coins from more than 250 options in just a few taps.

Google Pay is a payment gateway that offers a fast, and simple way to make in-app purchases on mobile devices, enabling users to make payments with Android phones, tablets, or watches. Native to the Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ: GOOGL) ecosystem, the payment model is now widely used by millions of people around the world.

The addition of Google Pay is also a testament to the broad networking the Crypto.com team is making with both Web3.0 and Web2.0 stakeholders. This networking is one of the most robust amongst digital currency ecosystems around today.

The decision to integrate Google Pay is to reiterate Crypto.com’s mission of democratizing access to digital currencies as the move into the future of Web3.0 intensifies. With this new payment option, the exchange’s users can conveniently choose between Google Pay, and the other options available on the platform to acquire whatever product they wish on the Crypto.com app.

How the Google Pay Payment Method Works on Crypto.com

When fully functional, users will first need to add their credit/debit card to their Google Pay. After setting up their Google Pay with their bank card, users will be able to use Google Pay as a quick and secure way to purchase 250+ top coins in the Crypto.com App.

With a properly linked debit/credit card, to purchase crypto with Google Pay on the Crypto.com App, users will need to follow these simple steps:

  • Tap Trade on the homepage in the Crypto.com App
  • Tap Buy and select a cryptocurrency
  • Under Cash, select Google Pay and tap the Buy button again
  • Tick the checkbox to accept the card processing fee and tap Continue
  • Tap Confirm to complete the purchase

Once these steps are completed, the purchased crypto balance will show in the user’s wallets and the transaction history for this purchase as well as others before it can be seen on the Crypto.com App.

The use of the Google Pay payment gateway is subject to terms and conditions as can be seen on the Crypto.com platform. However, this integration and payment method is as secure as any other on the Crypto.com App.
