La Liga, home to football legends such as Mbappé, Vinícius Jr., and Lewandowski, will leverage Bitget’s blockchain expertise to support its digital transformation.

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has secured a major sponsorship deal with La Liga, one of the most prestigious football leagues in the world, becoming its official crypto partner.

In a Thursday, September 19 announcement, the company said the multi-million dollar deal was officially revealed at the Token2049 event in Singapore, marking the exchange’s foray into the world of football.

A Strategic Collaboration

The deal is expected to bring mutual benefits for both parties. La Liga, home to football legends such as Mbappé, Vinícius Jr., and Lewandowski, will leverage Bitget’s blockchain expertise to support its digital transformation.

According to the announcement, the collaboration aligns with the league’s ongoing technological initiatives, including its use of artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), and big data analytics to optimize game performance and enhance fan engagement.

“Over the last decade, digitalization and innovation have been among La Liga’s priorities. Last season, we made this a focus under the umbrella of our New Era, which emphasized technology: we want to be pioneers, and we are committed to it,” said Javier Tebas, president of La Liga.

For Bitget, the deal represents a strategic push to strengthen its brand presence in regions where football enjoys immense popularity. The company’s CEO Gracy Chen emphasized that the collaboration with La Liga would help the exchange advance its mission of driving broader crypto adoption globally.

“Partnering with La Liga allows us to accelerate the growth of crypto in sports, creating opportunities for both fans and athletes,” Chen said.

As part of the multi-year sponsorship, Bitget’s branding will be visible across La Liga’s matches, digital channels, and events.

Make It Count

Bitget revealed that the sponsorship deal with La Liga is built on the shared philosophy of “Make It Count”, which emphasizes achieving greatness through perseverance and passion. This motto, which Bitget has consistently upheld in prior collaborations, aligns seamlessly with La Liga’s core sports values, where resilience and hard work lead to success.

The partnership is part of Bitget’s broader mission to integrate crypto into everyday life, bridging the gap between the world of sports and the emerging economy.

The collaboration is expected to open new doors for football fans to explore digital finance, offering secure access to cryptocurrencies through Bitget’s platform.

Bitget Celebrates Sixth Anniversary

Meanwhile, this is not Bitget’s first step into the sports world. The crypto exchange has previously partnered with top-tier athletes and teams to promote its brand and the broader crypto industry. However, the La Liga partnership stands as its most significant sports deal to date.

In addition to the multi-million dollar partnership with La Liga, Bitget is celebrating its six-year anniversary this September. Over the years, the company has grown to become a major player in the crypto market, establishing a presence across several jurisdictions.

Known for its commitment to security, innovation, and user-friendly services, Bitget has steadily increased its global influence, serving over 45 million users in more than 100 countries and regions.
