Earlier today, June 24, the much-awaited Binance NFT marketplace went live at 10 AM Singapore time. The platform features NFT auctions for digital artworks by some of the most popular artists like Andy Warhol and Salvador Dali.

What Binance NFT Marketplace Offers

The “Genesis” auction is the first premium event happening on the NFT marketplace. The auction features Warhol’s “Three Self Portraits” and a digitized NFT of Dali’s “Divine Comedy: rebeget”. Andy Warhol is a very popular personality in the pop art movement.

On the other hand, the Dali work has been redesigned to feature the Bitcoin symbol. It also hosts Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao‘s signature and the Binance logo, only visible by zooming in. The auction starts soon as the NFT marketplace is live and will continue for the next five days.

As the Binance NFT marketplace goes live, we can see that there are several listings already available on it. Binance announced its NFT marketplace launch for the first time in April 2021. Back then, the NFT market was at its peak clocking millions of dollars in sales volumes.

Now, the launch of the Binance NFT platform comes just at a time when the NFT market is facing a severe downturn. However, the entry of big players like Binance will bring more legitimacy for NFTs.

Binance’s Mystery Box and 100 Creators Program

As per the press release, the latest Genesis auction will also include the first-ever Binance NFT “Mystery Box. It features 16 collectible ‘tokidoki’ characters along with 3 Binance characters that will be available to the purchaser only during the first “Mystery Box” drop.

Tikodoki is a globally recognized lifestyle brand by Italian artist Simone Legno. Over the last decade, it has created a cult-like following for its larger-than-life characters. It has emerged as a global brand with millions of physical tokidoki sold worldwide.

Along with the NFT marketplace launch, Binance also unveiled its “100 Creators” program. The program features work from talented artists worldwide. With Binance’s NFT marketplace going live, Helen Hai, the Head of Binance NFT, said:

“Binance shares similar values as ‘Genesis’, revolutionizing the fintech space with blockchain technology and crypto, paving the ways as a blockchain pioneer leader, just like how ‘Genesis’ auction will do the same for the NFT industry.”
