According to reports, the game will feature players navigating through space, using their ship’s claws to pick up treasures as they explore different galaxies.

Binance, one of the world’s leading crypto exchanges, has hinted at the upcoming release of “Moonbix”, a play-to-earn (P2E) mini-game. It shared the update via an announcement from its support team, adding that the game will soon be available on the popular messaging app Telegram.

Meanwhile, even before this announcement, there have been several rumours and leaked screenshots all over social media. This has sparked curiosity as well as eager excitement within the gaming and crypto communities.

Although Binance may have just confirmed the rumours through its customer support team, the firm has expressed excitement in the response it has seen so far. Part of the statement reads:

“We’re aware that our upcoming TG mini-app game, Moonbix, was leaked ahead of the planned launch date.”

Binance also added that it is still putting some final touches to the product to ensure that it provides the best-possible user experience at the official launch.

Moonbix: A Space-Themed Gold Rush?

Going by the screenshots being posted, the game appears to be a space-themed adventure where players control spaceships with claw-like manipulators to collect items scattered across galaxies.

This has led many users on X (formerly Twitter) to liken Moonbix to classic gold mining games. However, Binance is yet to officially confirm any such semblance. Nonetheless, early access links for Moonbix have already surfaced.

According to reports, the game will feature players navigating through space, using their ship’s claws to pick up yellow stones, gifts, and possibly other hidden treasures as they explore different galaxies. These assets, while visually engaging, may also hold real-world value, considering the play-to-earn model Binance is known for.

Interestingly, however, despite the buzz around the game, Binance has kept the specifics of the gameplay a complete mystery. Instead, the firm is choosing to focus on all the excitement, revealing little to nothing about the finer details of the game.

Binance, meanwhile, has also apologized for any inconvenience caused by the leak. It says it is working to resolve individual cases of users affected by the leak. That is, those who may have encountered issues accessing the game through unofficial channels.

Official Launch Imminent

For what it’s worth, the team has confirmed that the game would soon be rolled out. However, that is as much as the detail gets for now. Without stating an exact launch date, Binance says the launch would be dependent on how fast the team is able to do its final adjustments.

The company also alerted users to the risks of impersonation accounts parading around as the real deal to distribute fake access links. As always, users are advised to only access Moonbix through Binance’s official Telegram bot and announcement channels.

Meanwhile, on the Binance websites, users can already get access  the company’s Telegram Mini App Terms and Conditions, as well as the FAQ for Moonbix page.

Further information is expected to be released soon.
