The collection will be auctioned exclusively with Alessandro Del Piero joining Binance CEO on YouTube in an “Ask Me Anything” session.

Earlier today, Binance published a statement revealing that its long-awaited Non Fungible token (NFT) Game Cards featuring Italian Seria A football legends like Alessandro Del Piero, Christian Vieri, and Gabriel Batistuta will be on its platform from 3 pm today to 3 pm on Saturday (UTC).

What to Expect from the Binance NFT Cards Collection

NFT collectors looking to collect the “Return of Legends S2” cards should know that it is a game card that would be coming in 3 forms, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. The collection would be portraying the best moments of these three football legends and can be purchased in Mystery Boxes which hold about 12 000 NFT game cards via an auction.

The collection will be auctioned exclusively with Alessandro Del Piero joining Binance CEO on YouTube in an “Ask Me Anything” session.

Who Are the Stars

Del Piero, former Italy and Juventus captain, made his name on the pitch and was renowned for being a spectacular player with an amazing array of skills ranging from dribbling and shooting. Interestingly, he is one of the few players to have scored in every competition he played in.

Christian Vieri is also a well-known Italian legend who played for the San Siro rivals, Inter Milan. Popularly referred to as the “Bomber” for his impeccable aerial ability, he was once the most expensive football player after he moved to Inter Milan in 1999 for £32 million.

Gabriel Batistuta, an Argentine who also played in Serie A and is also regarded as ”one of the greatest strikers of all time” due to his ability to score spectacular long-range shots. The Argentine is a two-times Copa America winner.

Football Embracing NFT Game Cards

NFTs are becoming quite common in the football world as more game cards are now being created. Sorare began this movement with its blockchain-based fantasy football project which included several club teams and national sides.

Sorare, through its project, introduced NFT mania into the football field as several game cards were created allowing the football world to play fantasy football.

Subsequently, Zilliqa, another NFT creator, created an NFT collection that includes famous footballers like Manchester City’s Ruben Dias, Atletico Madrid’s João Félix and Paris Saint-German’s Keylor Navas. Just like these football players’ NFTs, the Return of Legends S2 NFT is somewhat similar.
