AMD and Ultra Games will work on co-marketing activities to promote the Ultra platform along with creating awareness of the benefits of blockchain-based gaming.

Blockchain penetration in gaming continues to grow as we have two other industry giants joining hands. Semiconductor giant AMD, known for its popular x86 microprocessors, has joined hands with Estonia-based gaming platform Ultra.

This strategic partnership is reportedly a part of a common mission of democratizing the gaming industry for players and developers alike. Speaking on this matter, Joerg Roskowetz, Head of Blockchain Technology of AMD, said:

“AMD is excited about the use of blockchain technology for games publishing, licensing and rights management. AMD and Ultra are working together to make next-generation, community-centric game publishing a reality, transforming the way games are purchased, shared and experienced.”

Promoting Co-Marketing Activities Together

With this partnership, both the companies together will work on co-marketing activities to promote the Ultra platform along with creating awareness of the benefits of blockchain-based gaming technologies. These activities include efforts like having contests and events. Nicolas Gilot, Co-CEO of Ultra said:

“We’re excited to have AMD as a partner because of their dedication to gaming and blockchain technology. They saw our value proposition early on and recognized that blockchain is poised to change the face of gaming.”

For the last 50 years, AMD has been the pioneer “in high-performance computing, graphics and visualization technologies”. On the other hand, Ultra has become popular as a games distribution platform. Ultra offers its players a complete ecosystem that can aggregate all their gaming activities in one place “such as buying, reselling and playing games, access to live-streaming platforms, tournaments, reviews and contests, as well as interacting in their favorite communities and with their favorite brands”.

Besides, Ultra also leverages the blockchain technology for innovative business customizations for developers to play with.  AMD has assured that it will distribute games to its customers that can be redeemed on the Ultra platform. These games will span across all genres like a mix of Indie games, AA, and AAA. Besides, some of these games will be exclusively available on the Ultra platform.

Apart from being a gaming platform, Ultra Games is a complete ecosystem comprising of several unannounced hyper-social features.  “AMD and Ultra will work together to optimize cryptographic computing performance on the platform for gamers using AMD processors and graphics cards and will continue to explore additional collaborative activities in the future,” reads the announcement.
